Reading the first part of educating eseme was interesting to me. The way the book was written caught my attention fast. As I began reading it, she talked about this one women who passed away but had a huge impact on her life and why Eseme became a teacher. I had then realized that this women was Esemes teacher as well and she took her teaching skills into perspective to teach her own students. I thought that this was very interesting because she has looked up to the women for many years and is basing what she is doing as a teacher off of what her own teacher once did. This shows that being educated does not just mean being smart, it also means learning off of other people.
